It’s been forever since there’s been any real Narnia news, I’m so glad we finally have something to report!
In a talk given at the Tolkien Society meeting on Monday, Douglas Gresham (co-producer of the movies and C.S. Lewis’ stepson) was questioned on the future of the film series. He shared that he is very keen to have future Narnia films, but there has to be a seven year moratorium before producing any new Narnia movies outside of Walden Media, that basically means that by law, no new Narnia films can be made by any studio other than Walden Media before 2018. He went on to say that he might have them made independently, so he would have full say on everything. He spoke specifically about The Silver Chair, hinting that he would rather see that book made into a movie next, rather than The Magician’s Nephew. He also mentioned that he would like to see Andrew Adamson back in the directing chair, but it would probably be too expensive. Gresham said that in the meantime, he would be focusing on the film adaptation of The Screwtape Letters.
So what do you guys think about that? I would love to see Andrew Adamson directing the films again, and The Silver Chair is one of my very favourite books in the series. On the other hand, 2018 is a long time away, and they would have to get a new actor for Eustace, maybe the other character’s too. Leave your thoughts in the comments below!:)

Hello! This is my first post, so sorry if it’s not perfect! I found these alternate covers (and covers for the rest of the series) on this tumblr: dustjacketlust and I thought they were pretty cool.
